Hyaluronic acid: an aid for the breath
The Prof. Matteo Gelardi (Otolaryngology specialist, founder and president of AICNA - Italian Academy of Nasal Cytology), together with his work team, has for example carried out various researches that demonstrate the therapeutic efficacy of this substance in cases where there is inflammation or other damage to the mucosa. In practice, hyaluronic acid restores the integrity of the latter, accelerating the repair mechanism of the cells, but also facilitating that particular mechanism called "mucociliary clearance".
In the blink of an eye
In practice, it is a defense system, aimed at maintaining the well-being of the respiratory systems, but how does it work exactly?

Glycolic acid: beauty treatment for the skin Acid rinse: what is it and what effects does it have on the hair?Every time we inhale with the nose, the air, passing through the nostrils, is heated and "filtered" by the mucous cells: the contaminants are trapped in the layer of mucus that covers the epithelium and removed thanks to the beating of the vibrating eyelashes present on the apex of the cells. A malfunction of this process exposes us to acute and chronic infections of the entire respiratory system.
The effectiveness of hyaluronic acid
Several studies have shown that hyaluronic acid is able to effectively stimulate the mechanism, restoring correct "clearance" in a short time even in cases where until now there was no remedy. In particular, excellent results can be obtained with aerosol connected to a nasal ampulla that allows the hyaluronic acid to be nebulized in microparticles inside the nasal cavities, allowing it to integrate with that normally already present in the mucosal lining, stratifying on it and thus restoring it protective efficiency.
However, the usefulness of hyaluronic acid does not stop there. Even when it is necessary to regain the normal function of the nose after surgery, says the specialist in otolaryngology Dr. Alberto Macchi, the use of this molecule helps to restore the protective lining of the mucosa and stimulate the reproduction of blood vessels, necessary to supply nourishment to the cells ultimately accelerates healing.
