Accept criticism

Everyone makes mistakes, and those who make their way through life have surely learned from their failures. Because as a Chinese proverb says: "The strongest is not the one who does not fall, but the one who falls and knows how to get up!". Each stage of life involves "falls", and then getting up can be more or less difficult. prepare to stand up in any situation.

Distance yourself

Instead of reacting negatively, try asking yourself why they criticized you. What happened? Did I work sufficiently on the project? Perhaps the person who criticized you wanted to make you aware of your mistake so that, next time, you can avoid it. Listen to the criticisms then, and try to understand them by asking, for example, your interlocutor to clarify their opinions. In this way you will judge if he intended to denigrate you or if it was a way to solve a problem.

Keep calm

Emotions don't have to take over. Don't make it worse by getting angry. It is human behavior, but it is not constructive and implies a useless waste of energy. Whether the observation is well founded or not, it is still better to stay open and, why not, prove the other person wrong. By remaining quiet, you will communicate more easily with your interlocutor. The conversation will be more productive for both of you and your problems will be solved with greater ease.

Look for a solution

Don't be passive or, even worse, don't fold in on yourself. Shutting down, feeling misunderstood and being victims never do any good. You have just been reprimanded for something: prove to your interlocutor that you are ready to question yourself in order to improve. Take stock of your flaws to correct. Do they blame you for a lack of rigor? Strive to do things right! Are you too naive? Be smart.

On the other hand, if the criticism is unfounded and is only trying to hurt you, don't waste time. Make it clear to the person concerned, or ignore them.
