Winefoodfest 2011 in Syracuse

The event is a tribute to the typical Sicilian recipes, especially the city cuisine of the Iblei. This is characterized by local meats, aromatic herbs, honey, legumes and truffles from Palazzolo Acreide, known throughout Sicily with this name.

For those who love tradition, a succulent peasant lunch enriched with wines from local companies will be set up at the ancient water mill, Santa Lucia.

No less important, but more refined, is the dinner curated by Gaetano Quattropani, chef of the Valentino restaurant, scheduled for Saturday 20 August, and, the following evening, dinner by Ciccio Sultano, star chef of the Duomo di Ragusa.

The event will be a surprising tour in the name of Sicilian taste and traditions that have been handed down from century to century.
