Looks elsewhere is back, the festival of female culture
Look elsewhere for many years it has been the reference point of a female culture that looks to the cinema, but not only. Now in its twenty-first edition, it will return to animate the city of Milan from February 28 to March 23, acting as a container for the Film Festival, but not only.
If the actual Film Festival will be held from 13 to 23 March, starting from 28 February the Milan Triennale will host an exhibition entitled Art at the time of the crisis. Italy, Greece, Portugal, Spain. A collective exhibition curated by the founder of the Festival, Patrizia Rappazzo, and Stefania Scattina, which investigates the theme of the contemporary crisis through the contributions of various artists.
The Film Festival, on the other hand, will be hosted by the Spazio Oberdan and the Beltrade cinema, will have Sabina Ciuffini as godmother and will present various national or absolute premieres. Among the important appearances, the medium-length film With bated breath by Costanza Quatriglio, who has made a lot of talk about herself since the first presentation at the Venice Film Festival. The different sections into which the competition is divided, directed by women, will respectively present feature films, documentaries and short films awarded by quality juries. There will also be works out of competition to keep an eye on, such as I don't know yet, by Fabiana Sargentini, with Donatella Finocchiaro.
If the central theme is the crisis, the focus of this edition is Greece, with 11 film titles and various collateral events dedicated to Hellenic culture.
Do not miss the retrospective dedicated to one of our most beloved actresses (little curiosity: she is half Greek), who has recently also made a name for herself in directing: Valeria Golino, of whom we will see several of her starring films and her two films from director: the short film Armandino and the Mother, And Honey, intense film on euthanasia with Jasmine Trinca.
