#ThePowerOfMakeUp: women's protest in defense of makeup

In the last few days, you may have noticed that Twitter and Instagram are flooded with half-made-up women, who often accompany the photo with the hashtag #ThePowerOfMakeUp. It all started with the YouTube video of blogger Nikkie de Jager, who, tired of feeling criticized for focusing too much on make-up, she shot a video in which she does half make-up.The aim was to show the amazing transformative effects of make-up, but above all to affirm how this is done for oneself, not for others.

In the video Nikkie declares: "Lately I have noticed that girls who claim to love makeup are also harshly criticized, because it is thought that women use make-up only to attract boys, or to hide insecurities, or because they do not like themselves. ".

"It's not like that," he continues, "the trick is fun, and it's done for itself!". And so, to respond to the criticism, other women also put on half make-up, to declare that they are not ashamed of loving makeup.
