Choose and wear the evening dress
The rule of colors
Whether you have dark, fair or amber skin, you will still need to choose the color that suits you best.
- If you have dark skin. Dare to choose light colors: white, yellow, green or pink will look great on you. Forbidden: brown and the total black look.

- If you have fair skin, on the contrary, avoid white and yellow, which are not very seductive on your porcelain skin. Other colors are fine, it all depends on the shades. The color that suits you best, especially if you are brunette, is red. It is glamorous, trendy and elegant.
Your morphology
- You have large breasts: opt for dresses with a square neckline. As for the sleeves, prefer the short ones, or with balloon sleeves, to free and enhance your arms. If you want to wear a dress with straps, choose one that has very thin straps, it will slim your bust.
- You have a little belly: satin and silk are prohibited, because they highlight the belly. Instead, opt for a straight or empire-cut dress and avoid tight-fitting dresses at the waist, which would put your (any) love handles in full view. To hide the curves, do not hesitate to put a containing body under the dress or try a wide belt tied on the front.
- You are without hips: the straight line is ideal for you. Aim for a dress with original, very thin or sequined straps, in order to attract the attention of the beholder to the bust. Even the empire cut will look great on you. And if the dress is ankle-length, the glamorous effect is guaranteed!
- You have a big butt: choose a straight or empire cut evening dress, in solid color. Avoid patterned dresses, which attract attention. Also avoid the plunging necklines on the back, because they would make you look fatter. Don't hesitate to combine your dress with a long evening jacket.
Tips for the décolleté:
- The rule: the smaller the breast, the deeper the neckline becomes both on the chest and on the back.
- The neckline: if it is on the front, be careful not to be too sexy or vulgar! The best way to understand this is to sit in front of the mirror and evaluate it for yourself.
- The split: you can afford a split that reaches a maximum up to the beginning of the thigh, provided that you have thin legs. If they are sturdy, the split can only go up to the knee.
If the slit is behind: the smaller ones are the most elegant. You should avoid showing the back bend of the knees, which is very unattractive.
