How are the cushions cleaned? And how often should you wash them?
Do you remember when our beloved grandmothers opened the wool pillows and emptied them? The wool had to cool down, be washed and then opened to be later put back in its place. But today, when our beloved pillows are mostly made of latex or foam, is it still possible to wash the pillow? Or should we stop at pillow cases and sheets? Let's start from this video, to understand how important the hygiene of the pillows is:
How often to wash the pillows
Obviously the choice is personal. There are those who believe that one wash a year is enough, some one a month and those who had no idea they could also wash the cushions themselves. Well: the best thing would be to make the washing of the pillow coincide with the famous and feared "change of season". This is because a thorough cleaning of the pillow, it would be more practical to make it coincide with the major house cleaning, which involves washing curtains, furniture turned inside out and in general a more careful cleaning.

How to wash them
How to wash a pillow? The first thing that would be better to do is to carefully read the label where, based on the material, the most suitable washing methods are recommended: usually the right choice involves manual washing with water and vinegar. Many cushions (especially the synthetic ones) can also be washed in the washing machine at a low temperature and with a mild detergent. An advice? Hang your cushions horizontally and in the open air to dry them, preferably away from the sun's rays in the case of latex, and instead well exposed to the sun if synthetic, it will help to dry the pillow better and protect its shape.
