Why do we look for the enemy everywhere?
In this huge, messy tragedy that is Covid there are a whole series of micro-events and possibilities that people like me, who like to observe everything, will surely have appreciated.
People Watching is that moment in which, observing a person or a group, through attitudes, expressions and movements, one imagines the lives of others,
I often do this when I'm alone at the bar or sitting on the train on my way to the office.
In recent months, my favorite places are: in the supermarket queue (tell me what mask you wear and I'll tell you who you are), on the terrace looking at the neighbors and obviously the social networks.
Cross and delight of humanity 3.0: social networks are an inexhaustible source of the various facets of the soul. There are the artists, the handymen, the meme addicts and then them: the haters.
At a time when we are all focused on recreating a peaceful environment and keeping our nerve, it is often enough to open Facebook to throw whole weeks of meditation in the air.

In the last week there have been several events that have warmed everyone's minds.
First of all, the return to Italy of Silvia Romano, the volunteer who was kidnapped in Kenya 18 months ago.
"How much did it cost us", "exhibitionist", "spoiled", "traitor to the homeland" are just some of the most frequent comments on the story. What really disappoints us is that most of these comments come from women.
It doesn't matter what age: the same women who boast maternal instincts, sensitivity, empathy and sixth sense all focused on judging (badly) a girl of whom there is still no certain news and who first of all returned home after a kidnapping .
A couple of days pass and the Council of Ministers meets to discuss the Relaunch Decree. The Minister of Agricultural and Forestry Policies, Teresa Bellanova, who as formerly exploited by illegal work, has always been interested in combating irregularity, spoke of her commitment to eliminate illegal work and exploitation in the fields of thousands of Italians and emigrants. The Minister is so involved in this battle that she was moved during the speech.
We do not know why, but such a positive message on social media immediately became "Italians first" and "for Italians no one cries" making a fight against illegal work, once again, a despicable racial issue. Once again, to attack her, many, too many women.
On the other hand, there are those who lose patience in the face of these attacks and suddenly the category of haters of haters and everything becomes a spiral of aggression. A dog chasing its own tail.
When will we stop looking for an enemy in the next? Hasn't the pandemic taught us that there are no advantages, that we are all the same for life and that the famous "wheel" turns for everyone?
But it is with women that I want to insist. We are talking about equality, respect, the fight against patriarchy.
But the truth is that we are the real enemies of ourselves. We have to network, support each other, learn to listen before judging. It is okay to disagree on something but this fight against "who screams loudest" has to stop.
Everything will be fine, yes. But only when we respect each other.
