Mold in the house. Prevention and remedies
Mold is a problem that forms due to humidity, common to many homes. It is a difficult enemy to eradicate that can be fought first of all with prevention and a deep and scrupulous cleaning of the environments in which we live. It is advisable to ventilate all the rooms in the house well every day, especially the bathroom and kitchen to let the air change after a shower or after cooking.
If the house we live in is particularly exposed to humidity, it is a good idea to equip yourself with a dehumidifier to dry the air as much as possible and make the environment resistant to mold.
However, if the mold had already attacked the walls of our house, here's how to intervene.

Impossible wine stains: tips and remedies to remove themOne of the most classic remedies is to intervene with bleach: pour it into a spray bottle and spray it on the parts where the mold spores have formed. Be very careful though: when carrying out this operation, wear gloves, cover the furniture around the part you are treating to prevent them from being damaged and ventilate the room.
If you are looking for alternative and natural remedies, you can instead intervene with these 2 do-it-yourself solutions:
- Wipe the mold with a cloth soaked in white vinegar. Once the wall has dried, wipe over a cloth previously soaked in grapefruit seed extract. The acids present in these two substances will eradicate the less difficult patches of mold.
- Another very effective remedy is a do-it-yourself detergent that will eradicate the toughest mold enemy. In a spray bottle, pour 1 liter of water, 3 soup spoons of hydrogen peroxide, 3 tablespoons of baking soda and 3 of salt. First dissolve the baking soda and salt in the water, then add the hydrogen peroxide. Then spray the mixture on the affected area, let it act for a few minutes and gently scrape away the mold with a carpet brush or a sheet of very thin sandpaper. Wipe with a dry cloth to remove residue and that's it!
