From this sad television episode, Michelle draws inspiration to elaborate a personal reflection on the condition of women and collect it in a three-minute video. Three minutes in which the presenter makes a heavy accusation against the Italian Song Festival, guilty of an "excessive lightness in the treatment of such a delicate issue as that centered on the role of women. The umpteenth confirmation of a wrong culture, but, unfortunately, deeply rooted in today's society, where women receive the same treatment reserved for objects, beautiful to look at, but designed to stand still on a shelf.
Amadeus should have weighed his own words
It is urgent to start giving weight to words, especially if it is a conference attended by millions of people. Superficial words, but, at the same time, heavy as boulders, which do nothing but consolidate preconceptions that "inevitably translate into discrimination, psychological and physical violence and, in the most extreme cases, into femicide", Michelle is keen to emphasize, which has always been particularly sensitive to the issue and, for this reason, in 2007, together with the lawyer and senator Giulia Bongiorno, she founded "Double Defense", an association born with the aim of providing concrete support to the women victims discrimination, abuse and violence It is not surprising, therefore, that the presenter has chosen to shout out her indignation for what happened to the whole world.
