Michelle Hunziker against the macho culture promoted by Sanremo
Michelle Hunziker. Show-girl, TV presenter, mother, wife, but, first of all, a woman. And as a woman, Michelle was unable to ignore the treatment reserved by Amadeus, artistic director of the 70th edition of the Sanremo Festival, to her 10 traveling companions, the women who will join him on the most prestigious stage in Italy.
The woman let a few days pass by the media storm before giving her opinion and did so by posting a video on Instagram. From this sad television episode, Michelle draws inspiration to elaborate a personal reflection on the condition of women and collect it in a three-minute video. Three minutes in which the presenter makes a heavy accusation against the Italian Song Festival, guilty of an "excessive lightness in the treatment of such a delicate issue as that centered on the role of women. The umpteenth confirmation of a wrong culture, but, unfortunately, deeply rooted in today's society, where women receive the same treatment reserved for objects, beautiful to look at, but designed to stand still on a shelf.
Amadeus should have weighed his own words
It is urgent to start giving weight to words, especially if it is a conference attended by millions of people. Superficial words, but, at the same time, heavy as boulders, which do nothing but consolidate preconceptions that "inevitably translate into discrimination, psychological and physical violence and, in the most extreme cases, into femicide", Michelle is keen to emphasize, which has always been particularly sensitive to the issue and, for this reason, in 2007, together with the lawyer and senator Giulia Bongiorno, she founded "Double Defense", an association born with the aim of providing concrete support to the women victims discrimination, abuse and violence It is not surprising, therefore, that the presenter has chosen to shout out her indignation for what happened to the whole world.

Best wishes to Sanremo, of which he declares himself fan n. ° 1
At the end of the video there is a general toning down and Michelle goes back to being the cheerful and carefree person we are all used to. The woman, in fact, closes the reflection as follows: “Having said that, I am the first fan of Sanremo, you know. And I wish this Festival a great success because it is important for all of us and especially for the staff to make us dream with beautiful music "and then add" And for someone like me who always wants to see the positive in things, maybe this is the perfect opportunity to adjust the shot and see the virtues of these 10 women who will tread the most important stage in Italy exploited in the best possible way ”. Despite the controversy, therefore, Michelle is cheering for the Festival, which she herself led in 2018 alongside, and not step back (we would like to underline it), to Claudio Baglioni and Pierfrancesco Favino.
