Meryl Streep at the Golden Globes: "violence breeds violence", the strong words of the actress

How many words can we use to describe how wonderful Meryl Streep is? Our eyes are filled with his wonderful performances, as in Mamma Mia !, The devil wears Prada, and many other films that are part of the cult tradition of cinema.

But Meryl Streep is much more: in fact, the actress has always been a fervent advocate of human rights. And also on the occasion of last Sunday's Golden Globes, during which she was awarded the Cecile B. DeMille award for her glittering career, the actress gave a strong speech, full of bold statements and, especially, directed against someone. Can you imagine who?

That's right, you understand: we are talking about Donald Trump who, during his now famous election campaign for the presidency of the United States, created clashes and dissensions within various communities and minorities. But Meryl Streep is a strong woman, and not he lets himself be intimidated by anyone, not even the future POTUS.

The actress has clearly given a little dig (not too "ina") to Trump and his claims against foreigners, involving the Hollywood artistic community:

"Who are we and what is Hollywood? Lots of people from different places. I was born, raised and schooled in New Jersey, Sara Palz was born in Florida, raised by a single mother in Brooklyn, Sarah Jessica Parker was one of eight children in Ohio, Amy Adams was born in Italy and Natalie Portman was born in Jerusalem. Beautiful Ruth Negga was born in Ethiopia and lived in Ireland and was called to play a girl from Virginia. Ryan Gosling, like all the sweetest people, he's Canadian, while Dev Patel was born in Kenya, raised in London and called to play an Indian boy. So Hollywood is full of outsider and foreigners, so if they were to chase them away you would have nothing to watch other than football or martial arts!

But it is in the continuation of her speech that Streep launches the final attack on Trump:

Disrespect leads to disrespect, violence breeds more violence. When the powerful use their position to make others uncomfortable, we all lose.

How about Meryl's strong speech?
