Brave mothers who shave their heads for their children with cancer. Look at the pictures

In 2011, Jenn Lyster, a Canadian woman, found out that her two-year-old daughter was suffering from leukemia. "Our world hasn't been the same since then", she confesses "all we've done since that day we learned about the disease has been to try to save our daughter."

While researching possible treatments and support groups, Jenn discovered a "Canadian association: St. Baldrick "s Foundation, which, as he soon discovered, organizes special events in support of children with cancer. This is how Jenn found herself, incredibly but happily, shaving her head in public with 45 other moms.

The Foundation has in fact organized a special event to raise funds for the fight against cancer: 46 mothers shaving their heads for the brave event, this is the title, very explanatory. The mothers involved have children who are sick, or have lost them to illness, and have come together to get rid of all their hair, to support children with cancer and undergoing heavy chemotherapy.

The event was photographed by Phil Cassell, and you can see the result here. Along with Jenn c "is also her daughter Tegan, who accompanied her mother for the event.

The event is not only a way to exorcise the consequences of treatment, but it is also an effective method to raise funds: in fact, last year the Foundation managed to raise 36 thousand Canadian dollars, which will be entirely donated to cancer research.
