Since I started traveling I have visited 32 countries and you have no idea how many friendships I have cultivated by wagging my tail here and there for Europe and the world! Foreigners know how to be very hospitable and are often ready to give you a sofa or a room to let you spend the night for free, ditto the relatives.
We all have some family members around the world. I know a lot of people who travel with this method.
Obviously don't take advantage of it; Help out around the house, wash the dishes, offer to go shopping, prepare something to eat, or look after the children or animals.

The home exchange also deserved a place of its own in my blog. In a nutshell, thanks to the registration on the dedicated portal, you can offer your home by going to sleep for free for the duration of your stay, in the home of those who will be a guest in yours. Sleep on buses and trains<br>
If you have organized a holiday made up of a thousand trips, consider saving some nights at the hotel by moving with public transport that leaves in the evening. In many countries, trains or buses that have to deal with long journeys provide reclining seats and couchettes for the night. In addition to paying for the trip, which generally costs very little, you can also sleep for free without paying for a hotel.<br>
I admit that it's not always a comfortable solution, also because you will have to share the bunk with other travelers but hey, what trip would it be without a little rock and roll? Next summer, if the COVID situation improves, I would like to visit all of Vietnam using just this method. In Peru I enjoyed sleeping on the buses and I'll tell you, I was quite comfortable too!<br>

When airlines offer trips with unacceptable schedules and endless stopovers, you can decide to sleep inside the airport rather than go out, take a taxi, go downtown and pay for a hotel or hostel room.<br>
