The raw food diet: the best of raw food
The raw food diet, or Raw Food, is a diet based on uncooked food. It is famous in the USA and its intent is an anti-aging action of raw foods and based on the principle in which foods are born raw, so they must remain so as they are healthier. In fact, some argue that cooking food leads to the inhibition of the sense of satiety and the loss of vitamins, therefore foods are more palatable, but become less natural. The only use of heat allowed in the diet is to cool the drinks no more than 40 °; sterilized and pasteurized ones such as milk are also excluded.
This type of diet is somewhat unbalanced because it leads to the exaggerated consumption of raw fruits and vegetables and a severe limitation of meat and fish.
The raw food diet makes you lose weight because it is an alkaline diet and acid waste and waste are eliminated more easily. Raw food also has many enzymes that regulate hormone production and help metabolize the foods you consume; they can be eaten in abundance and so they replace snacks favoring weight loss.
