Ten rules for using the washing machine at its best
Define its location
First criterion for identifying its location: provide at least 60 cm between the appliance and the "wet" elements (shower, tub, sink, etc.). Front opening washing machines are perfect on a worktop or with a tumble dryer overlap to keep the footprint down. Attention: in this case a special kit is required! Another solution for small spaces: choose a washer-dryer model.
Ask about capacity

It is a question of evaluating the amount of laundry to wash: if you live alone / or a capacity of less than 5 kg is sufficient. For a couple you have to rely on a 5 to 6 kg machine to easily wash the sheets. If there are children, 6 kg may be sufficient, while for large families you can opt for the "family" models, such as those of the Haier 86 and 82 series, which offer capacities of 8 and even 9 kg.
Don't neglect energy saving
Nowadays, energy saving is part of everyone's daily life, and if this allows you to protect the planet as well as to contain the costs of use, even better!
The energy consumption class is indicated by a letter (the first of a series of three appearing in the technical data) and ranges from A +++ (excellent) to D (very mediocre).
Water is also an important point and it is important to carefully read the information on the energy label before choosing the washing machine.
Haier's 86 and 82 series 8 kg models are not only included in class A +++ (they consume 30% less than class A ones), but also boast extremely high performance in terms of water consumption.
Choose a "smart" washing machine
To avoid wasting water and energy, some machines are equipped with an automatic variable capacity system, which calculates the laundry load to adapt the quantities of water and electricity needed.
Open fight against bacteria
© Haier Itching, bad smells, allergies ... These discomforts are an indication of the possible presence of bacteria in the washing machine: the crown for an appliance that should guarantee the hygiene and cleanliness of our clothes! A June 2001 study published in the British Mycological Society journal , Fungal Biology, argues that these bacteria can be at the "origin of" molds that are dangerous to humans and are ultra-resistant (...) "... To combat these bacteria, there are specific products designed to better disinfect linen, particularly in the case of washing at low temperatures. But Haier eliminates the root problem by offering an exclusive antibacterial treatment system (ABT). Its 86 and 82 series washing machine range is equipped with a gasket and a bowl with ABT that acts continuously for the entire life of the appliance and without specific treatments.
Shun the noise
If even once you have felt a vague sense of relief invade you when the washing machine finished its cycle, it means that action must be taken. This aspect is not often thought of when buying an appliance, but the accumulation of this type of noise in the home, especially if spaces are restricted, can quickly become a real noise disturbance that is not conducive to rest and serenity. . By choosing a washing machine with induction motor, you will be surprised by the silence and comfort that accompany it! And in order not to waste anything, this machine has been designed to last longer (inverter system).
Don't be a slave to your washing machine
It's up to the washing machine to adapt to you, not the other way around! If you want to use it in the less active time slots, or if you want to be at home at the end of the cycle to quickly hang out the laundry and prevent it from creasing, opt for a model that allows the deferred end.

Load your washing machine correctly
Studies show that users generally use only 60% of the drum capacity. Even with an automatic system of variable capacity, this bad habit is a waste of water and electricity: force yourself to wait until the washing machine is full or, if this is not possible, use the "half load" or "eco" function that you it will save up to 25% of energy.
Use a good quality detergent
It can vary from the basic dose up to triple depending on the calcium and magnesium content in the water, because the harder it is, the greater the doses to use. To find out the quality of the water in your area, you can contact the municipality or the water supply company, but be aware that in general more detergent is needed in areas with hard water than in other areas. In these regions extra attention should also be paid to machine maintenance!
Choose the most suitable programs
A point on which to pay close attention both when buying and when using the washing machine. Some models (such as Haier's 86 and 82 series washing machines) are equipped with a 15 ° program which, thanks to the new cold detergents (Ariel), allow a very delicate wash while respecting the fibers. If you have children, the "Babycare" program increases the amount of water in the rinse to optimally eliminate detergent residues. There are also programs "jeans", "wool", "delicate", but it is interesting to know that some machines also have a "wave drum" system: the drum is specifically designed to take care of the laundry. Finally, the ideal is to be able to have, in addition to the predefined programs (which only calculate the spin speed, the amount of water and so on), also customizable programs: this is the case of the Haier 86 series, which allows you to define 3 tailor-made programs, memorizing the settings to use them next time!
Good to know: since November 2006, at the time of purchasing the washing machine, an eco-contribution is paid on WEEE (waste of electrical and electronic equipment). On the other hand, the distributor where we buy the washing machine picks up our old machine, even out of use, without charging us any cost!
