71 years of marriage, the sweet couple who never stops holding hands in the hospital
"I can see it?" This was the question John Mullins asked his nurse when he learned that his wife was in the room right next to his in Johnston-Willis hospital. John, a 92-year-old World War II veteran, entered the hospital in November: His wife Bernice was recently hospitalized for surgery.
When John asked to be moved to be near his wife, the doctors decided despite the many difficulties, to put them in the room together.
Together for about an hour or two, the two spouses have been holding their hands while sleeping, so nurses and doctors were moved by witnessing such an exciting scene.
