Let's start with the story of Alessandra, very recently mother of little Francesco, who tells how bedtime has become the favorite moment of mother and child ... and also of the father! Here is what he writes to us.
The first nights at home with the baby: a whole new experience!
During my pregnancy I was very clear how I would behave with my little Francesco. I was sure I was firm on my decisions, until I realized that it was inexperience that spoke for me. For example, I was convinced that getting him used to sleeping in his bed right away would be the best solution for everyone. the baby is finally born, I found myself having to deal with a very different reality: the first nights Francesco slept in his enfant door next to our bed, but this solution turned out to be quite uncomfortable. When he cried we had to get up, take him, cuddle him and make him go back to sleep and then bring him back to his cradle.
Moreover, already after the first ten days, Francesco began to suffer from frequent regurgitations, both at night and during the day and, as you can imagine, this situation did not make me rest in a calm way: I would wake up and get up very often just to make sure that Francesco was fine! So, after a few days, we realized that we had to find another solution and we started looking ..
How does a woman's sleep change after the arrival of a little person?
The sleep of a mother changes profoundly after the arrival of the baby, it is clear, the old "sleepy me" has made room for a super vigilant mother who, in a completely automatic way, wakes up to control the situation. new super power!
But if my sleep has changed with motherhood, not much has changed my husband's, who is a real sleeper! If the temptation to bring Francesco into the Latvian was very strong, the fear that something unpleasant could happen to him was equally strong, that my husband would not realize that the little one was right next to us. In short, I would not have been able to sleep in complete serenity and enjoy those special moments next to my son that should be ours #wemoments.
Co-sleeping: an excellent solution for mum, dad and baby
Fortunately, by doing a little research, we found a solution that turned out to be perfect for us and for little Francesco: the Next2Me Dream cradle. Since we have this cradle, our rest has improved considerably, and Francesco is also able to sleep. in total safety and to be close to me. It is, in fact, a bedside cot thanks to which Francesco can sleep next to me, but in total safety, because he remains in his own dedicated space. We can sleep peacefully, without the thought of hurting him and I can frequently check his regurgitation, managing to keep him close to me all night long ... I just have to reach out to touch him and fall asleep again hearing his breath ... It was the best solution for us because it benefited our rest but also his: when he happens to wake up during the night, he looks at me and I reach out to him, caress his face and he calmly goes back to sleep.
The lowered side also helps me for feedings: now I no longer have to get up, I just have to approach or simply pick him up, remaining seated in bed. And when the nights are calmer, the feedings less close together and the risk of past regurgitation, I just need to raise the side of the Next2me to transform it into a full-fledged cradle ... not to mention that the side can be raised and lowered with one hand, so I will be able to gradually get Francesco used to sleeping in his cradle and, I admit, I will also be able to get used to the idea of this first detachment.

And now it's Olga's turn, from the mammaholic.com blog. She also shares with us her experience with her daughter Bianca Zoe and how bedtime has turned into a special #wemoment for mom and daughter. Here is what he writes to us.
The birth of the third child is a new challenge ... beautiful!
I have a very clear memory printed in my mind and heart: a photo received by my husband the day after the birth of Bianca Zoe, my third child. The image of her new crib just assembled next to my bed, a new place for her in our home and in our family of five. Naturally, my husband had accompanied the photo by questions about sheets and blankets to be used mysteriously disappeared in the black hole of the closet drawers when they "suffer" being opened by a man.
And reality hit me suddenly: "and now?" Now it is all true and real, now there is a little person of 3 kg who will require all my attention. And the other two children? My little children of only 4 and 3 years old?
What are the attentions of a mother for a new, very small one who has arrived at home?
I wanted to give Bianca Zoe what her brothers had had from me: my total dedication and closeness, my day and night hugs, the perfect fit that only a mother and her baby can have.
In my third experience as a mother I therefore chose all those "tools" and those products that could simplify my life, that would allow me to be present as a mother for Niccolò and Edoardo and not just for little Bianca Zoe. And also not to cancel me, to carve out time and pay attention to me and their dad.
Fairy tales, cuddles, lots of rest and ... peaceful parents!
From the moment of the bedtime story until the first light of dawn, the Next2Me cradle proved to be providential for the management of three small children and for the "safeguard" of myself. I have always used it in the side-bed version next to my bed with some not indifferent advantages: a greater space to welcome the siblings for evening cuddles or when they come to wake us up in the morning in the bed and keep Bianca Zoe sheltered in her cot, a larger space even for us parents, the great thrill of feeling her perfume every night or her little hand looking for mine. The opportunity to practice co-sleeping in a safe and comfortable way for all of us. The result? My nights were simple and Bianca Zoe's falling asleep became a serene routine: she just needed to feel my presence and my smell, I just needed to touch the bed to fall into a deep sleep!
Caressing the babies while they sleep helps them in their development and strengthens the bond with the mother
The Next2Me Chicco cradle allowed me to have Bianca Zoe always close to me during the night, to hold her little hands while we both slept, to caress her little head and watch her sleep peacefully. A cradle that can really make a difference in the daily life (in this case at night) of a baby; some time ago, in a children's product store, I heard two parents discussing with the saleswoman about the opportunity to buy the side-bed cradle and I literally rushed towards them to testify how decisive it had been for me. After all, sharing your experiences with other mothers is a "lifeline.
© Olga ZappalàI have always loved holding my children close to me and I have often kept them in the bed for cuddles but if there is one thing that I have really learned in my experience it is that matching our needs and needs with those of our children gives life to new experiences and new moments of sharing that allow us to fully enjoy our little ones. Because happiness is real, only if it is shared
