How to lose weight on your thighs? Simple and effective tips and exercises!
Let's face it: the thighs are a critical point of the body of us women! But contrary to popular belief, slimming your thighs is not difficult if you can follow a balanced diet by combining it with targeted leg exercises, which you can also do at home.

The best diet to slim the thighs and lose weight quickly is that of super metabolism: it is a "diet that keeps you away from starchy foods and carbohydrates and focuses more on proteins. If you do not want to follow a specific diet, it is still advisable to have some precautions in the your choice of foods.

The only solution to lose weight is to monitor your diet and limit the intake of fatty foods. Eliminate cured meats, fried foods and greasy dishes.
- Replace starchy foods with proteins. Thanks to proteins (eggs, poultry, lean meats, fish), muscles replace fat: so much more for your thighs. If eaten in the evening, the starchy foods (pasta, rice) are stored, so it is better to consume them for lunch, but in moderation.
- Drink lots of water. The thighs are the part of the body that is most affected by water retention, so you must constantly drain them. Drink at least one and a half liters of water a day to eliminate toxins and make extensive use of soups and hot drinks such as tea.
- Go easy on the salt, because it promotes water retention. Be wary of ready-made dishes, which often contain a lot of them and even sparkling water.
- Avoid sugar. It is no secret, sugar is not good for the figure and also increases the circumference of the thighs and buttocks. Red light for candies, sweets, ice creams but also carbonated drinks and spirits.
- Consume lots of fruits and vegetables. Rich in vitamins and minerals, fruits and vegetables are excellent for health but also for the figure, as they contain few calories.

Specific Exercises: Watch videos on how to train
The chair, or wall squat: back against the wall and feet apart, flex your legs until you sit on an invisible chair. Stay in this position for a few seconds, then return to the starting position. Do 3 or 4 sets of 10 movements, resting a few seconds between one and the other. See also the example in the video below, with the exercise performed by Federica Fontana.
The lunges: standing, with your feet hip-width apart, contract your abs and buttocks then throw one foot forward. The knee should form a right angle to the floor, never touching the ground. Hold this position for a few seconds, then return to the starting position. To do this exercise well, follow the video below, and continue for at least 30 seconds.
The push-ups, or more simply squat: standing, with your arms raised at 90 degrees with respect to the torso, positioned in front of you, flex your knees as shown in the video with our fitness teacher, Federica Fontana. Repeat the exercise 20 or 30 times.
The methods for thinning the thighs
- The creams. Based on caffeine or guarana, refreshing or with a thermal effect, there are numerous creams on the market designed to thin the thighs and eliminate cellulite. The skating it is a fun sport that you can practice for a long time and without getting too tired, rollerblading will give you thighs and buttocks of steel.
The brisk walk: to have beautiful legs is the easiest activity to do. Take advantage of every opportunity to walk a bit, go shopping on foot, avoid taking the bus if you only have to make two stops. And no elevator! Getting into the habit of walking up stairs is easy and works your thigh muscles.
Dance: if you don't like playing sports, try to choose the dance. It puts a lot of strain on the leg muscles, especially Latin American dances or African dances.
The bicycle allows you to work the muscles of the legs gently and, in addition, it is easy to find the time to do it: you can go to work by bicycle or make small movements. When the weather is good, cycling is more enjoyable than public transport.
