Impotence undermines the couple

This is revealed by the data of a research presented in Berlin, in the European Symposium of Sexology, promoted by Eli Lilly in 8 countries - in addition to Italy, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Spain, France, Great Britain, Germany - and conducted on a sample made up of men suffering from erectile dysfunction and / or urinary disorders.

While in countries like Great Britain the problem, albeit unpleasant, is lived with relative calm, in Italy the issue often leads to quarrels, discussions and tensions in the couple. Even the embarrassment that one feels at the idea of talking to a doctor is strong and affects 75% of men and to suffer - even in the case of urinary problems only and not erectile - is above all the intimate and sexual sphere.

"In the last decade, sexual happiness has become one of the founding values even among the over 50s and for this reason, when you have erectile dysfunction problems that hinder sexual life, urinary symptoms are added, the burden of frustration in the couple can become explosive"
, comments Alessandra Graziottin, director of the Gynecology and Medical Sexology Center of the San Raffaele hospital in Milan.
