The betrayal: more serious the sexual or the mental one?
Is it worse to be cheated on physically, mentally or emotionally? What hurts the most? eDarling asked 630 singles and discovered the differences and similarities between men and women in relationship fidelity.
According to 59% of men, sexual infidelity is the worst, on the contrary 68% of women say they cannot bear the idea that their partner falls in love with "another."

Although fidelity (77%) and trust (88%) are still very important values in the couple, both sexes have succumbed to betrayal at least once.
43% of men and 42% of women admitted having had an escapade, but with very different dynamics: in 33% of cases male betrayal means having sex with "another person, while 23% of Italians declare of having cheated after losing his mind to another.
Despite our reputation as “passionate and irrational Italians”, it would seem that we are able to manage this situation in a controlled and reasonable way. 71% of survey respondents say they prefer to end the relationship to give both of them a chance to be happy with another person (77%) rather than take revenge by cheating in turn.
After experiencing betrayal, many forget and move on with their lives, while others turn to online dating. The reasons? For 80% of singles, a dating site provides a better chance of meeting many people with the same sentimental intentions ...
