How to face the first day of work after the holidays

Whether we like it or not, it is time for the last queue before returning to being constantly in the queue. Today on the highway, together with thousands of other people who have come up with the brilliant idea of smart departures, tomorrow we will be in line to buy. the season ticket, to validate the ticket, to wait for the lift.
Never mind: with a little ingenuity, just like this guy looking for a contract did, you can do it all!

1. Remember that you have the sun inside

It is not a way of saying and it is certainly not a nice way to tell you that you have eaten too much in the last few days, it's just that, if you stop and think, your eyes are full of new things. Your skin is a little darker, your hair maybe a little lighter, and you've stocked up on smiles, hours spent being happy with your eyes closed, fresh wind after dinner.
Before going back to the office, take a second to think about it: since starting over is inevitable, we might as well do it right!

2. Start a journey

One of the things that can help you is to set goals to make your routine better. One idea is to find a happy moment a day. It may be the stranger who gives you his seat on the subway (they are rare, but gentlemen still exist), the "grab the last" cream brioche, a crazy and ideal light for a photo at sunset ... Once back home, write everything down in a notebook: collect your happy moments and, if you ever find yourself believing that it is impossible to feel good again, retrace with your mind the moments in which you were happy .

3. Buy a ticket

Whether it's a concert, an exhibition or a trip, it doesn't matter: you'll have something to wait for, as if it were a breath of fresh air between days in which it can happen that you feel apnea.
Write it big on the calendar and then start the countdown. Life is what happens between "waiting and" but there is nothing wrong with having something to crave!

4. Text a friend

You know that very long string of "but yes of course, we feel" that has grown exponentially in recent months? The time has come to thin it out.
Write to your friend you haven't seen for a long time and with whom you would like to spend a couple of hours of freedom, schedule an aperitif after work and that's it. Early rising will be necessary, but at least you will have an extra stimulus to make it to the end of the day.

5. Take it easy

In all likelihood, you'll have dozens of masterfully handled emails with the out of office, customers who want answers first thing right away, and meeting after meeting: as far as possible, take it easy and avoid the stress of coming back.
Do not fill yourself with things to do on the first day or, once the day is over, you will have no desire to go back to the office even the next day. You may not feel like it anyway, but try to give yourself a hand!

6. Learn to love yourself

Loving yourself is not easy and that of self-love is a rather winding road. Since you have to start over, why not do it in a big way?
Choose foods that help you feel good (know that the cream brioche in point 2 is widely available) and, to get back in full shape, take a look at the gym hours. You may not have to start right away, but just knowing that Thursdays at 7pm is a yoga class might be a great place to start!

7. Help out with the look

Let it be clear: you do it for yourself and no one else.
A garment you are particularly attached to, a garment loaned by a special person or, perhaps, a garment chosen from the new arrivals in our favorite store can really make a difference and help you get off to a good start!
