Development and fine motor skills

Sleep becomes more regular
Towards the sixth month of your baby, sleep tends to stabilize, but unfortunately this is not a rule and as such it does not apply to everyone! If you are dead tired, you can think of letting the baby sleep in the bed, you will always have time to detach him from you and his dad and to get used to his bed more gradually. Especially if you have returned to work and your little one does not see you during the day, this is his way of showing his attachment to you: it's a bit "as if he were telling you that he doesn't want to fall asleep to enjoy every moment you have. at your disposal together! Your baby begins to have his own tastes
Your baby is in the middle of weaning. He will have learned to recognize the flavors of many foods and will have understood how to make you notice when he doesn't like something! Obviously, both clothes and very often even the floor pay the price! Don't give up: it is right to let you taste many different flavors, as much as it is normal for him to learn to manifest what he does not like. Something will be discarded over time if it is not really to his taste, while some flavor will gradually become part of his eating habits.
It might seem wrong at first glance, but it seems that letting the child manipulate and play with food helps him to become familiar with it and become aware of what is in front of him. Useful tips for six-month-old babies
It might be the right time to start getting edge protectors and power sockets: better be ready for any eventuality!
If your baby suffers too much from gum pain, help him by purchasing a special soothing gel (you can find it at the pharmacy) to spread gently on inflamed gums, or with small specific teething toys to keep in the refrigerator. A little coolness will help numb the pain a little. You could even leave the pacifier in the freezer for a couple of minutes if your baby still uses it!
For mothers: how to get back into shape
This is a good time to get back into physical activity, although we recommend doing it gradually.
Gymnastics will be your number 1 ally: it will help you eliminate cellulite and tone the areas most affected by pregnancy (belly, hips, buttocks and thighs). 15-20 minutes of exercise a day will suffice.
Here are some useful exercises to tone your abs and waist.
Exercise 1
Position: on the ground, get on all fours.
Movement: inhale with your nose and, exhaling, put your belly in as much as possible. Hold this position for the required duration. And then it starts again.
Perform 4 sets, contracting the belly 6 times for 6 seconds, with a 1 and a half minute rest between sets.
Exercise 2
Position: lying on the floor, raise your legs straight, keeping your feet in a hammer. Put your hands under the buttocks so as not to burden the lower back muscles.
Movement: squeeze your abs and stretch your hammer feet towards the ceiling, pulling your buttocks off the ground slightly (to better contract your abs). Afterwards, come down slowly. Exhale as you lift your glutes and inhale as you descend.
Do 2 or 3 sets of 15.
Exercise 3
Position: standing, with your legs apart, contract your buttocks to avoid burdening your back.
Movement: Raise your arms straight over your head, tilt your torso slightly to the side while continuing to breathe and trying to keep your hips still. Stay in this position for 15-20 seconds.
Do 3 sets on each side.
If, on the other hand, you prefer a slower activity and you want to combine physical activity with the benefit of being able to clear your mind from too many thoughts, you can try yoga.
