She shares photos of her body after giving birth and sends a positive message to all other moms

We live in a society that judges women by how they look. Not for what they are, for what they feel or

My Real Postpartum Body is the story of how her body changed, how she never stopped bleeding, about pajamas and missed showers. It is a true, genuine testimony of a woman who knows that to be a mother it takes courage.

Julie wanted to share her body transformation to instill confidence in other mothers.
Few speak of the suffering and sacrifice of childbirth; few have the courage to show their physique, a witness to that sacrifice. It's difficult, it's scary, and it can even be disgusting, Julie writes: but it's normal and real. And, for that, it must "be accepted as it is".

The New Zealand nutritionist goes beyond the photo: she describes in detail all the phases of post-partum because "the photos don't tell the whole story". Pain, uterine contractions, uninterrupted screams of the baby. And people asking her if she can come and see her."Sure, do we want to organize a party too?" Jokes Julie.
Yet, on her face, the sufferings are not revealed: because the love she feels for her child overcomes the pain.
Julie wants to tell all moms that it's not what you look like, it's what you feel. It will take time, there will be people ready to judge and tight clothes will become a little too tight: but that smile, so similar to hers, will repay all the hard work.

Making the right choices takes strength and courage. You, as a mother, have both. Love and remember, always: you are beautiful, amazing. You are a mother.
