Manuka Honey: the portentous nectar that you will never be able to do without

Manuka honey (also known as Manuka Honey) comes from New Zealand and is produced when bees pollinate the nectar of Manuka bushes, better known as Tea Tree.
In the last decade this honey has attracted the attention of doctors and scientists thanks to its health properties against which ordinary honey can do nothing. Could it be for this reason that, at least here in Italy, this honey is a real luxury (costs around 50 euros) and is mainly found in pharmacies?

Below we propose a list of the properties that have been attributed to manuka honey, from the more "superficial" ones, which involve the skin, to those that affect the immune system and daily energy.

1. Make your skin look younger

A jar of Manuka honey is one of the must haves for your beauty routine. It has plumping properties and helps increase collagen production, and since it is also antibacterial, it helps reduce the appearance of pimples and irritation (unless you are allergic to honey, of course).

4. Rebalances the pH

If your skin's pH is a little off, Manuka Honey may be the solution to your problems. By promoting skin health and killing bacteria, this New Zealand nectar will help your skin regain the right balance.

5. Keeps your skin hydrated

For a brighter and more radiant complexion, this honey is the ideal ally. Rich in antioxidants, it not only protects against damage caused by free radicals, but helps maintain the right level of hydration. Ah, as if that weren't enough, it seems that is also able to reduce the appearance of scars!
