Few things in a mother's life are as exciting as the moment of the first ultrasound, when you "see" your baby for the first time.
What happens when a mother is blind? This is the case of Tatiana Guerra, a Brazilian mother-to-be, blind since the age of 17, who would not have been able to see her baby's ultrasound were it not for the advances in the technique.
In fact, Tatiana was able to see her child through her hands, as she does with everything else, thanks to a 3D ultrasound, which produced a small sculpture of the baby visible in the ultrasound, which the future mother could hold in her hand, and caress.
