The Hollywood star's jewelry collection alone is worth $ 30 million; the actress had a particular eye for precious stones, and in her private archive there are names like Tiffany, Cartier, Boucheron and many others.

The sale was preceded by an exhibition at the Rockefeller Center, in which nearly two thousand objects belonging to Liz Taylor were exhibited. The proceeds from part of the tickets and catalog of the exhibition were donated to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, the foundation of the actress who supports AIDS patients.
