The Cenemilanesi circuit involved 8 renowned restaurants in the Milanese city, whose chefs studied, together with beer culture experts, the best combinations for original and unexpected tasting menus, able to create a perfect harmony between food and beer.

The restaurants that joined this year are: Due Spade, Trattoria Alla Vecchia Maniera, Enocratia - Il Regno del Vino, Dopolavoro Bicocca, Osteria Grand Hotel, Trattoria da Giannino and Il Liberty.

To date, four more evenings are scheduled, on 27 September at Andrea Provenzani's Il Liberty; October 11 at Trattoria Alla Vecchia Maniera; October 25 at Giannino's; and November 15 at Osteria Grand Hotel.

I had the pleasure of trying one of these dinners, precisely at the Pane e Acqua restaurant, whose menu (created by Francesco Passalacqua) was decidedly interesting as well as harmonious and balanced thanks to the beers to which each course was paired. The world of beer is much wider than expected, especially for those who, like many, are used to distinguishing only between light, red, double malt and guinness beer.
