The Hunger TV Revolutionaries
Hunger Magazine, the semi-annual fashion and culture magazine directed by Rankin and connected to Hunger TV (here the link to the official website), returns with issue 5 on newsstands, for the autumn / winter 2013 2014 season, and does so with four characters and covers different stories, all to choose from.
The theme of the issue is that of the "Revolutionaries", of well-known personalities who have upset the rules of the star system or are about to do so in the coming months. Rankin photographs and interviews four stars, two veterans and two rising stars, to show how their figures are revolutionary.
Debbie Harry (Blondie), Bryan Ferry and rising stars Chiwetel Ejiofor and Rebel Wilson star in the covers of Hunger, which will be released on newsstands tomorrow, September 19th.
If we all know Bryan Ferry, former leader of Roxy Music, and Debbie Harry, who is preparing to celebrate forty "years since the founding of the glam-punk band Blondie, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Rebel Wilson may need some more introduction. Ejiofor, English actor former star of Dirty pretty things and also seen in Amistad, Love actually and many other successes, he prepares to get talked about a lot for the role of slave in Twelve years a slave, new film by Steve McQueen (Shame) with Brad Pitt and Michael Fassbender. Premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, Twelve years saw an intense and brutal acting Ejiofor.
Rebel Wilson is a 27-year-old Australian comedian and actress who has managed to establish herself in film and television despite not conforming to Hollywood standards. unleashed the admiration of new fans (a bit like for the character of Lena Dunham, author and protagonist of Girls), and Rebel herself confesses to Hunger: "Before the space for women was only that of the so-called shoulder, but now things are changing".
This is demonstrated by the fact that Rebel is the protagonist of a new TV series, Super fun night, which will debut this fall in the US.
To present the new issue, Hunger has prepared a series of teasers, visible on hungertv.com.
