This photo proves the existence of ghosts. Or Photoshop in 1900

We are used to the disasters of Photoshop: thighs that are too slender, arms that multiply, cellulite that disappears. The first version of Photoshop was released in 1990. This photo is from 1900.

A group of girls sharing work in a mill. They have simple clothes, light smiles, and stare at the room. Each of them has a rope tied at the waist that was used to collect tools during the working day. A historical photo documenting the life of Belfast girls. Nothing strange, it would seem.
Still, Lynda, the granddaughter of one of the women, sent the photo to Belfast Live.

It was exciting to find a photo of my grandmother when she was working at the mill. Her name was Ellen Donnelly and she is in the second row, the first starting from the right.

Lynda noticed something odd in the photo. In particular, on the shoulder of the grandmother.

Maybe it's a strange play of light, a first attempt at a photomontage or a joke from Lynda. Or maybe it's a ghost's hand.
In any case, I think I'll sleep with the light on tonight. And I'll call them.
