Italy supports female entrepreneurs
The so-called subsidized or non-repayable loans, provided by the Ministry of Economic Development, are in fact intended for female businesses, and have advantageous characteristics. First of all, the loans can be returned only in part, or not at all, to the institution that made the loan, be it the Ministry, a local authority or the European Union. Companies and businesses that can benefit from it must be female-majority: companies set up at least 60 per cent by women, or joint-stock companies whose shares are owned by at least 2/3 women. The "pink" companies concerned must then be classified as small or medium-sized enterprises, ie they must not have more than 50 employees, or more than 5 million euros in annual turnover.
It is possible to obtain financing if you start a new business, or if you buy one, starting a new management, with the exception of steel, shipbuilding, construction companies or companies engaged in the production of artificial textile fibers. All women who are interested in these loans can fill in the forms made available by the Ministry of Economic Development.
