Are you a vegetarian? Here is an event you can't miss
From Friday 4 Sunday 6 July the Gorizia Castle and the Village that surrounds it will host the fifth edition of the Vegetarian Festival, three days dedicated to the discovery of all the faces of vegetarianism.
This year, the Festival is enriched with new ideas and themes, which also include waste and waste, and looks far away by attracting international guests.

Massimo Santinelli, creator of the Festival and soul of the Gorizia company Biolab, which produces ready-to-eat foods for vegetarians and vegans, said: "Vegetarians and vegans, Eurispes data relating to 2013 in hand, are 7.1% of the Italian population and are growing strongly, but we have aimed, since the first edition, to frame vegetarianism in a broader vision, meaning it as a style of life, respect for animals and the environment and also for people. Among the protagonists of the event will be the American writer Melanie Joy, who will present her latest book, the meteorologist and climatologist Luca Mercalli, the chef-scientist Marco Bianchi, the president of Zero Waste Europe and winner of the Goldman Environmental Prize 2013 Rossano Ercolini, the Report journalist Emilio Casalini, the actress Susy Blady and the journalist and television face Antonio Lubrano.
Between show cooking, kids workshops on the themes of water, earth and air, artistic and experimental workshops, the festival will be a fun and educational moment for the whole family.
