What does it mean? That we are ever closer to equating the de facto family with that of law, that is, sanctioned by regular marriage.
Considering that in Italy there are approximately 2 million de facto families, this must certainly be considered an important and significant signal regarding the importance of ties regardless of the existence of a wedding certificate.
Commenting on the sentence, the president of the Italian marriage lawyers, Gian Ettore Gassani stated: "The de facto family is increasingly legitimized, despite the unforgivable inertia of the Italian legislator, deaf to the social and customs changes in the country".
It would now also be the case that the two chambers took note of the social changes and legislated accordingly, or not?
