A bouquet of flowers for breast cancer research
Birthdays, anniversaries, name days, in short, there is always a reason to give - or treat yourself - a beautiful bouquet of flowers. In October, however, there is one more: in fact, Pink October is born, an initiative launched by Colvin, a startup that delivers fresh flowers throughout Italy, so by purchasing a plant or a bouquet belonging to this "pink" line, you will donate 3 euros to breast cancer research.
October, the month of prevention against breast cancer
Pink October, as announced by the name itself, will be valid from today 1st October until 31st. So, we have 31 days to surround ourselves with beauty (Colvin's flowers are magic for the eyes and for the smell) and make of good, to us and to others.
The choice did not fall on October by chance. It is, in fact, the month of prevention against breast cancer. A disease which - according to data from Lilt (Italian League for the Fight against Cancer) - is malignant in 30% of cases. In 2019 alone and in Italy alone, 53,200 cases of breast cancer were diagnosed. It is clear, then, how many steps forward the research still has to make and why initiatives such as Colvin's are born.
So all you have to do is put one hand on your wallet and one on your heart and prepare the best vase you have at home. Never as in this case plants are truly synonymous with life!
