Immigration and children: a campaign to raise awareness!
In collaboration with Benetton
Benetton's campaign for integration
"Integration" is the watchword and the only real solution for associations that support migrants. This year, the Benetton brand has chosen to collaborate once again with the photographer Oliviero Toscani on the subject of the integration of migrant children. From this collaboration two photographs were born that portray a class of twenty-eight children of thirteen different nationalities, coming from four continents. Everyone smiles, with the future in front of them. Ten children - from Burkina Faso to the Philippines, from Italy to Senegal - are gathered around a "teacher who reads Pinocchio to them.
The values of the brand and the illustration of the slogan "United colors of Benetton" are immediately found, which acquires meaning through the images. For the photographer Oliviero Toscani, "The problem of today's world is integration. [...] The future will be played out on how much and how we will be able to use our intelligence to integrate the different, overcoming fears ”. These two images are the first of a larger project on the theme of integration, which will be made public shortly and on which Toscani will work by Fabrica, the Benetton group's communication research center.

The reticence towards the "foreigner" should irremediably disappear when the eyes of the children speak. But not because grown-ups deserve less, just because they are eyes made of hope that cannot help but find a welcoming and warm place in our minds. Facing such an important challenge from Benetton means imagining a future for those less fortunate children than ours, but with the same heart full of vitality and love.
And if we fail to understand why all these people are forced to flee their homes, giving up their things and their habits, this video from the French CNR association, le Collectif pour une nation refuge, comes as support:
