In 1981, the four Marciano brothers, of Moroccan origin, but raised in Marseille, took care of the family boutiques scattered throughout the holiday resorts of France.
During a vacation, in the same year, in the USA, they noticed that women's jeans all resembled each other and that in America, they still did not use the demin "stone-washed" that is, the technique that fades and makes the fabric softer, in in order to better adapt to the female form. Thus was born the first line of women's jeans of the Marciano brothers, in Los Angeles, under the name of Marylin.
The name Guess came shortly after, when the brothers, although not knowing English, read the word on a billboard. They thought that "Guess?" (Or "guess?") Was an intriguing name and that it sounded good in all languages.
From there, things happened and today Guess by Marciano is one of the best known and loved brands by women all over the world.
