Asia Argento denounces abuses suffered and is invaded by insults by women. And we defend it.
In these hours a scandal of global proportions is being unleashed, starring Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, guilty of sexually abusing an unknown number of women, most of whom work in the Hollywood film industry. many these days, from Angelina Joyle and Gwyneth Paltrow, this "last defense from" then partner Brad Pitt, to Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan. Among them there is also an Italian star, Asia Argento, who after having publicly denounced having been a victim in 1999, she found herself literally invaded by social insults. In short: "report the violence, women!", thundering newspapers and international days against violence against women, and when it happens, unfortunately, it is the woman herself who pays the price. It is useless to clarify the tone of the comments that appear under the various Facebook posts that report the news or to cite the offensive epithets and the absurd "reasoning" behind them - all easily understood - and that you hear, hear, come from the female gender. In fact, it is above all women who take sides against Argento and pay her the "noblest compliments" ranging from: "one who has no talent and therefore wanted to fuck around to make a career", to "one who actually liked to hustle and therefore what she complains about" until wonderful "he had to thank because it is also ugly", all seasoned with the aforementioned epithets. But is it really still necessary to see such a "show" today? We not only denounce without half measures attitudes of this type of the usual headboard lions - today very active in the social world - but we express our solidarity with Asia and reiterate the importance of denouncing episodes of violence by relying on the right institutions and people.
