Our 5 favorite female characters from the 2019 TV series
Queens, criminals, high schoolers. They are all beautiful women and their stories.
There was once the female protagonist of the films, who stood there in danger waiting for the hero, the super man of the story, to save her from the terrible villain.
Now movies and TV series are populated by incredibly strong, influential women, sometimes even ruthless, courageous, tremendously true and above all far from the "beauty who doesn't dance" that old films showed us.
We have selected the 5 female protagonists of the hottest TV series of 2019 and we tell you their incredible stories and their great lessons of empowerment.
Watch out for spoilers! If you still haven't finished these TV series, run to watch them and then come back to reading this article
And if you like female TV series, here are the ones that will inspire you the most:
Daenerys- Game of Thrones
Daenerys Targaryen, "Born of the Storm", before her name, Queen of the First Men, Khaleesi, "Mother of Dragons" also called Dany. During the first season of the series, she was the very young and defenseless promise of Khal Drogo (played by Jason Momoa, a man who was literally given to us by the gods). After discovering that she is the mother of dragons, that is the only one able to look after and train them in order to regain the throne that rightfully belonged to her, Daenerys (played by the beautiful and very nice Emilia Clarke) during the crossing to King's Landing, she runs into Jon Snow and falls madly in love with him, deciding to take back the throne with him.
But when their love proves impossible (Daenerys is actually Jon Snow's aunt!) She completely loses her mind and decides to eliminate anyone who stands in front of her with incredible wickedness and tenacity.
Dany represents the evolution and growth of a woman who has suffered injustice and once she has lost her innocence she craves an "insatiable revenge." Scary, right? But imagine the temper it takes to want to rule the whole world!

Jules- Euphoria
Defined as the most "scandalous" series of 2019, Euphoria deals with topics such as sex, drugs, adolescent distress and much more without metaphors and without sparing on details.
The character of Jules Vaughn, played by Hunter Schafer, is a transgender girl (like the girl who plays the role) who forges a very deep bond of friendship with the protagonist Rue (ex-Disney star Zendaya).
Jules is a very biographical character, according to Hunter. He put his own in the interpretation, making the character very real and showing his soul. A big step for a topic still, unfortunately, taboo for many people.
Personal growth, friendship, love, sexuality and positive body (there is also the plus size model Barbie Ferreira). A series to watch all in one breath.

Tasha (Taystee) - Orange Is The New Black
Tasha Jefferson is certainly one of the characters who has made us cry the most in the last three years.
Raised between the streets and family homes, Taystee (played by new mom Danielle Brooks) finds a real home in Litchfield Jail. After the accidental death of her friend Poussey, caused by a guard, Taystee wants justice at all costs and manages to convince all her companions to rebel against the incompetence of those who manage the prison, until a real revolt breaks out.
During the rebellion, one of the security officers dies at the hands of "another guard and Taystee is unjustly accused of" the murder, until she is sentenced to life in prison. After trying (thankfully and failing) to commit suicide, Taystee decides to dedicate her life to helping the other inmates, giving them a hand to complete their studies and reintegrate into society, once out of prison, thanks to a foundation dedicated to her friend. disappeared, Poussey.
It already makes people cry like that, but in the end it turns out that the Poussey Washington Foundation really exists and helps thousands of women and charities.

Nairobi- The Paper House
Can you love an international criminal? If it comes to Nairobi, obviously, yes!
One of the nicest characters of the thieves team of the Professor of "La Casa Di Carta". After robbing the state mint, taking billions of euros with them, the gang returns to Madrid to save Rio, which is in the hands of Interpol and barricades itself in the Bank of Spain.
In addition to being a lonely and strong woman who has already convinced us in the first two seasons, in the third chapter Nairobi (the "theater actress Alba Flores) brings out a" further feminist streak, becoming even more severe on the comments and the sexist behaviors of her. "colleagues" and does not hesitate a second to put them back in place, certainly not in a polite way, but we are still talking about a genius of crime

Robin- Stranger Things
Maya Hawke's mother (the actress who plays Robin) gave birth to one of the most iconic characters of girl power in cinema. The film in question was Kill Bill and the lady was Uma Thurman who certainly could not fail to convey certain values to his daughter.
That's why during the recording of Stranger Things season 3, Maya convinced the production to change her love destiny. If most took it for granted that Robin and Steve were falling in love, it turns out that Robin is actually homosexual.
"I did it so that those who were fond of Robin, would also become fond of girls who love other girls" Maya commented. An educational way to avoid falling into the usual stereotype of the laconic and ironic female protagonist who eventually falls in love with the male protagonist All in a million dollar series and with a script already written Chapeau to Robin, but most of all to Maya Hawke!
