Hygiene without taking a shower? It seems possible ...
Clean yes, but without washing! It sounds like the advertising slogan of a latest generation detergent, but it could become the motto of an American scientist, David Whitlock, who hasn't showered for 12 years.
Goodbye to sweat and bad smells, but without the help of shower gel and water. Thanks to the discovery of particular bacteria, man has created a spray that would keep the body clean without the need to wash. Notrosomas Eutropha, from the family of probiotics, are beneficial to humans and used in the right proportions ensure hygiene without the constant need to take a shower.
Observing the behavior of the animals, the scientist noticed how some of them voluntarily roll in the mud to cover themselves with these bacteria that contribute to obtaining a good level of cleanliness. David argues that washing too often is not good because it keeps away probiotics that are beneficial to the human body. He therefore obtained them from the animals of the styes and chicken coops, to sprinkle his body and stop using soap.
A shocking decision, when you think about the current trend of washing at least once a day, but it could represent an extraordinary method of saving water. The spray is on the market and some brave people have already bought it. Will it really be time to say bye bye to the shampoo foam and soap bubbles in the shower cubicle?
