Sexual intercourse
Sexual intercourse (or intercourse) is an "activity between two or more individuals that can give rise, if heterosexual, to reproduction. Sexuality and sexual relations are considered essential elements of the human being because, in addition to reproduction, they involve the ontogenetic aspects of the individual, ie those concerning the biological development of a living organism, as well as the definition of identity and social relations.
Classifications
Sexual intercourse can be classified according to several variables, here are the main ones:

Candaulism: what there is to know about this sexual practice- based on the sex of the participants: heterosexual, if it involves people of different sex, homosexual, if the individuals belong to the same sex or bisexual, if it involves the participation of both individuals of the same sex and of the opposite sex;
- based on the parts of the body involved: and therefore it can be vaginal (the penis is inserted into the vagina), anal (the penis is inserted into the anus), oral (the penis is inserted into the mouth). Only in the first case can reproduction take place;
- based on the distance of the participants: there can be physical sexual relations (when they occur in person), telephone or even virtual; the web is becoming more and more a constant presence also in the sexual sphere of many.
Duration
Often debated topic, the ideal duration of a sexual relationship… does not exist! For one simple reason: it is an absolutely subjective variable.
Nevertheless, a study conducted among American sexologists shows that the ideal duration (of penetration) is between 7 and 13 minutes, and that a lower one would tend to cause dissatisfaction, while a higher boredom and distraction.
Reality? According to a Durex survey conducted on a sample of 26,032 people (which included the very young with their quick intercourse, adults with refined complicity with their partner, occasional couples without understanding and complicity), in 26 countries the average duration of a sexual intercourse would be about 20 minutes and would also include foreplay as well as the times of penetration. Normally sexual intercourse in the strict sense, that is the time devoted to penetration, is admittedly lower, on average around 6 minutes.
Frequency
The frequency of sexual activity is also a fairly controversial topic, for the same reason as mentioned above. Not everyone likes to have sex often, there are those who prefer to concentrate their embraces on the weekend, when they are more relaxed, and those who also experience sex as an outlet at the end of a busy working day.
Obviously, research has also been conducted on the ideal frequency and it seems that this has been attested in 1/2 times a week.
