The founder of Pip prostheses is arrested
The scandal broke out in early December and only yesterday led to the arrest of Jean-Claude Mas, the founder of the French company in bankruptcy since 2010, who has now admitted to having manufactured the non-approved silicone gel. The 72-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, but yesterday, following various interrogations, he was released thanks to the payment of a bail of 100.00 euros and the charge against him is no longer that of murder but that, less serious, of negligent injuries.

The continuation of the investigation will, however, lead to a new trial, in addition to the one for fraud for which Mas has been indicted and which is scheduled for next October.
