The couple were incredibly happy when Michelle's illness hit them like a hurricane. At 32, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Hospitalized for a simple stomach ache, the young woman learned the terrible news shortly before giving birth to little Martha.
The cancer is too widespread, Michelle will no longer be able to leave the hospital but Jack loves her and wants to marry her, so he decides to bring the wedding to her as he knows she will not be able to go to the wedding.
The improvised marriage
Helped by friends, relatives and nurses, the boy succeeded in the impossible: he organized a wedding in a few hours. The bride's mother bought the clothes and a group of nurses took care to set up the waiting room so that the couple could pronounce the fateful "yes" in front of their firstborn.
Beautiful and moving, the ceremony moved everyone. Four weeks after their union, Michelle didn't make it: however, she spent the last few days surrounded by love and tenderness.
