DIY moisturizing face mask: the best recipes to make at home

Our skin is constantly tested, especially that of the face: pollution, smog, humidity, heat, cold and other external agents can cause impurities, dryness and dehydration. To counter this problem and prevent it, we must pay close attention to the skin care routine, including good eating and lifestyle habits. Butter mask

Let's start with a DIY mask that is a true concentrate of hydration for the skin. In fact, butter is one of the richest foods and for these properties it is used very often in the beauty field. In this we will use two types, that of coconut and that of shea.

Ingrediants:

  • 1 tablespoon of shea butter
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut butter
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Combine all the ingredients, mixing until you get a homogeneous mixture. Apply the beauty treatment for 15 minutes and then rinse with plenty of warm water. This mask is ideal for very dry skin, while it is not recommended for those suffering from oily skin and we recommend that you do not do it more than once or twice a month.

Lemon juice and yogurt mask

Among the various foods useful not only in the kitchen but also in terms of beauty, lemon is certainly one of the best. In this recipe we use it to prepare a mask that not only nourishes the skin, but restores its natural shine.

Ingrediants:

  • 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

Mix the yogurt and lemon juice together, applying the mixture with a cotton ball all over your face, paying attention to the eye area. Pear mask

Oily skin also needs moisturizing masks: the important thing is to pay attention to the natural ingredients that are used to prevent them from further weighing down the skin. The pear-based treatment is ideal for combining hydration and an exfoliating effect.

Ingrediants:

  • Half ripe pear
  • 1 tablespoon of cream
  • almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil

Cut the pear into cubes and put it in a blender together with the cream and oil. Then, add a little almond flour, just enough to obtain a not too liquid mixture suitable for spreading on the face. Keep the pear mask in place for 20 minutes and rinse with either lukewarm water or mallow herbal tea. Moisturizing honey mask for dry skin

Another ally food for both our health and our beauty is honey. The so-called food of the gods is rich in properties that are very useful in terms of beauty. Among the most appreciated actions, there are certainly antibacterial, nourishing and antioxidant ones and, for this reason, honey appears in numerous DIY recipes. Here is one that is ideal for dry skin.

Ingrediants:

  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of milk

After mixing honey, flour and milk, apply the mixture on your face with the help of a brush. Leave it on for 15/20 minutes and then rinse. For consistent and visible results, repeat this mask twice a week, especially when exposed to sudden changes in temperature, wind and humidity.

Pineapple mask

Another DIY mask perfect for dry skin is the one based on pineapple, white yogurt and almond oil, which deeply nourishes the skin.

  • Half a slice of pineapple
  • 2 teaspoons of plain yogurt

To prepare this treatment, blend the pineapple with the yogurt until you get a smooth and homogeneous mixture. Ingrediants:

  • 2 teaspoons of aloe vera gel
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric

Mix the aloe vera gel with turmeric and spread the natural treatment all over the face. Let the mixture rest for at least 15 minutes and then rinse everything off. We recommend that you apply this DIY mask once a week, preferably before going to bed or in the morning before breakfast.   • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

Ingrediants:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon of oat flour
  • 4 drops of extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 drops of lemon juice

After separating the egg yolk from the egg white, combine it in a small bowl with honey, cream, oatmeal, oil and lemon juice. Stir carefully until the ingredients are well blended.
