The girl of the week (and not only) is Greta Thunberg, elected person of the year!

Since 1927, Time magazine has named the most influential person of the year globally at this time of the year.
2019 was marked by several events and among the eligible candidates for the title c "were Nancy Pelosi, president of the United States House, the dissidents of Hong-Kong, Mark Zuckerberg and the captain of the women's national football team of the USA Megan Rapinoe.

But in the end Time named the youngest of the candidates: the sixteen-year-old Swedish Greta Thunberg who for more than a year now has been leading protests around the world against the powerful who do not want to adopt more eco-sustainable solutions and is officially the person of the "youngest year in history!

From Fridays For Future to haters of all ages

Greta has managed to turn some vague concerns about theft that no one wanted to deepen, into a real global movement. Fridays For Future are born from the protests of Greta who went on strike every Friday under the government buildings of Stockholm to be heard "by the great".

The problem of climate change is real and finally many have noticed this, especially the very young who have embraced Greta's ideas almost immediately and have given way to something gigantic and above all beautiful.
Now students all over the world are on strike on Fridays to let adults know that they are not there, that things must change and that action must be taken immediately!

Unfortunately, as often happens to those who are successful, Greta's life is always in the crosshairs of the haters. Bullies? Envious kids? No! Greta is often targeted by people much older than her, especially political leaders of a certain type and their followers, who are always ready to blame the weakest.
Greta has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism that undermines the social and behavioral spheres. He therefore concentrated all his energies as a teenager to pursue an ideal.
Often, when she talks about her cause, she is moved as happened during the speech at the UN when Greta, very angry, asked world leaders "How dare you?" or "How dare you?".
Although she has always acknowledged that she was born on the "right" and lucky side of the world, the teenager is continually inundated with accusations of being (among many other epithets) depressed, manipulated, a puppet, an "ungrateful", a "hypocrite".

But Greta didn't let herself down. She fights for the future, for the environment, for the people who want to fight with her and not against the idiots of the moment.
That's why she is the person of the year. For Time, for girls, for all the kids who protest every Friday and for those who believe in a better future!
