Film about Lady D: criticism and controversy

They are really talking about "Diana - The secret story of Lady D", a film by Oliver Hirschbiegel that traces the last years of the princess, or from the divorce from Charles until her death on August 31, 1997 in Paris, following a tragic accident under the Pont de l'Alma tunnel.
The film, based on the book “Diana: her last love”, centers on the story between Diana Spencer and Hasnat Khan, a Pakistani-born heart surgeon who many believe was her true great love. What about Dodi Al Fayed (who died with her in the accident)? Was it a simple "nail drives nail" or a way to make Khan jealous? We do not know this, but one thing is certain: Dodi's father may not react positively to the vision of the film and so will the Royal Family.

So far it has been Hasnat Khan to make his voice heard, who said: "It is based only on gossip and the testimonies of people who knew nothing of the story between me and her."
In Great Britain the critics have crushed "Diana - The secret story of Lady D", because it is considered far from reality and disrespectful of Diana's memory and the same reactions are also being recorded in other countries, where the film is saved ( in part) only the interpretation of Naomi Watts.

But that's not all, because marketing also took care of coming up with the right villain: it seems that a giant poster of the film also appeared near the Pont de l'Alma tunnel. Of course it was removed immediately!

Now it remains only to discover the response of the box office and who knows if all this publicity, even if negative, does not have unexpected consequences.
