How to make the fear go away? Simple, with a drug!

Soon, medicine may be enough to make the fear go away. This was supported by a team of German researchers from the University Medical Center of Mainz, who found the solution in Levodopa (also known as L-Dopa). In fact, this drug would contain a principle that once taken turns into dopamine, thus ending up controlling the mechanisms of pleasure and regulating movement (not surprisingly it is used a lot to treat Parkinson's).

Tested first on a sample of animals and then of people, it also proved to be an excellent "vaccine" against fear and even phobia. Like? It seems that it is able to act on memory selectively, blocking the mechanism that forces our body to feel a sense of fear higher than what can be the real danger. Whether we can one day actually use it? We don't know yet, but we await updates.
