Sportier women than men
Italians, people of saints, poets, navigators, but above all of lazy people! Yes, because despite the immoderate passion for sport on TV, Italy is the nation that, with 96 days a year, practices less physical activity than England, France, Spain, Germany, Sweden and, above all, the United States. Worse than us, only Holland, according to a survey conducted by OmniBus Study on behalf of TomTom, carried out on the occasion of the launch of the new GPS product line dedicated to sportsmen.
A good 8,000 people, residing in 8 countries, were asked how much time they spent on average a year in physical activity, and whether or not they managed to achieve the goals they had set. What catches the eye is the incredible performance of the Americans: a real revenge for the stars and stripes nation, until yesterday considered the home of the worst food lifestyle in the world.

In Italy, sports photography knows different types of "practitioners": the "addicted", (16%), play sports at least 4 times a week and in any weather condition, the "challenges" (25%), those who dedicate themselves to sporting activity 2 or 3 times, the "active" (18%), who are limited to only one training per week, the "divanati" (32%) and, finally, the "occasional", that is 31% of interviewees waiting for the annual appointment with the derby or the soccer tournament with friends.
Speaking of gender, what emerges from the survey is that it is women who prevail over men: the fairer sex is more constant, they dedicate themselves to sport to keep fit (83%) and, to start the new year well, 19% confirm that the time devoted to physical activity will certainly increase.
And what category do you fall into? Is the increase in sporting activity also one of your good intentions for 2014?
