Gynoid woman: what it means to be and what training to do
The gynoid biotype is the most common physique among women and is recognized because, while the arms and shoulders are thin, the hips and thighs tend to be wider. Being a gynoid woman depends on many factors, including hormonal ones, but we can intervene with a workout designed specifically for this type of body. Let's find out which exercises are best done: for the legs these explained in the video are perfect!
The differences between the various biotypes: gynoid, android and harmonious
The human body is essentially divided into three biotypes, or in three types: the gynoid, the android and the so-called harmonious one. The most widespread biotype in the world among women is the gynoid one and the study of the differences between bodies dates back to the 1950s, when for the first time doctors noticed that, at the base of the different points of accumulation of fat and liquids, c "is a hormonal cause. The android biotype, in fact, is prevalent in men, who tend to gain weight on the abdomen, while the gynoid is a more markedly female peculiarity. The main characteristics of the gynoid woman are:
- get fat more easily in the lower body. In particular on the legs, buttocks and hips.
- is subject to water retention and suffers from cellulite.
- often has venous circulation problems.
- tends to have narrow shoulders and arms, especially with respect to the lower part of the body.
- it loses weight easily on the stomach but very little on the thighs, buttocks and hips.

The fat that accumulates in the lower body typical of the gynoid woman is very difficult to eliminate because it is a consequence of the production of estrogen. It often happens, in fact, that those who belong to this biotype, after an intense weight loss, are seen emptied on the arms, breasts and face, while noticing very little difference on the legs and buttocks. Those with a gynoid physique should learn to love their body, feeding it with a balanced diet and training in the right way.
To understand if you belong to the gynoid biotype, just measure the circumference of the hips and that of the waist with a tape measure: if the ratio between the two measures is less than 0.85 your body is gynoid, while if it is higher it is android.
Women with the so-called pear-shaped body have an accentuated muscle development on the lower part of the body, while for them to increase the volume on the upper part is very difficult. This muscle development reaches the proportion of 70% on the thighs and buttocks while only the remaining 30% on the arms and shoulders. The pathologies that the gynoid woman undergoes are lymphatic and circulatory ones, moreover the accumulation of weight in the lower limbs can lead to osteoarticular and vascular problems.

It is important to follow a specific training program for the pear-shaped body because the gynoid body of women is very different from the android one and requires different precautions. Here is how a workout designed especially for the gynoid woman should be structured:
- The program must be different for the lower body than for the upper body. The goal is to give volume to the arms and shoulders, while it is wrong to overload the legs too much.
- Better to prefer training with circuit exercises that involve a muscle recovery phase and ensure that too much lactic acid does not accumulate on the legs.
- Fast walking and swimming are perfect for the gynoid woman because they help to dispose of the stagnation of fluids in the lower limbs.

- Do not overload the legs with exercises that lead to muscle exhaustion but prefer those that stimulate circulation without impacting too much on the lower limbs.
- Do a lot of stretching by stretching the leg muscles in particular.
Diet is certainly an important aspect to keep weight under control, however weight loss must not become an obsession because the gynoid build is a physical characteristic that cannot be easily modified. Fitness, if done correctly, however, can give a great hand, especially in reactivating circulation and counteracting water retention.
