Take care of your nails
Nail beauty
To always have beautiful and manicured nails here is what to do:
- Eliminate all traces of nail polish with an acetone-free solvent
- Rinse both hands immediately to prevent the solvent from remaining in contact with the nails for too long, risking drying them
- Soak your hands in warm soapy water for a few minutes
- Eliminates dead cuticles around the nails
- Once your hands are dry, soak them in warm olive oil, which nourishes and strengthens the keratin of the nails
- Then pass the file starting from the sides and going towards the center always in the same direction, so as not to flake them. Avoid metal files, which break the nail.
- Apply a moisturizer and then gently massage your nails and fingers
- If you put on a colored nail polish, apply a protective base, to avoid staining your nails.
Steel nails
To show off your nails with pride, you need to look after them every day: fortify, care for and protect them - here's how.
- Fortify them
If you have brittle nails that break easily, avoid overgrowing them. Even size, fairly short. Massage them every night with a special nail cream or a little olive oil to prevent them from flaking.
Some dietary deficiencies can affect nail health. To cope with this, do a brewer's yeast cure. You can also eat soy, seafood, and fish.
- Treat them
For healthy nails, take care of your cuticles regularly. These cuticles, which serve to protect the base of the nail, flake off easily. After massaging the nails with a special cream, remove them with a cotton swab or cuticle tweezers.
- Protect them
To protect your nails, use specific treatments:
> for soft nails, a treatment that fortifies and hardens
> for cracked nails, a hardening treatment
> for dry nails, a nourishing nail polish
How to choose the right nail polish
Last optional gesture: the enamel. This can be purely aesthetic, but it can also serve to solve some small problems of hardness or flaking of the nails, for example. There are enamels on the market that harden the keratin and prevent the nail from breaking.
The right advice
- Don't bite your nails! If you have this habit, apply a specific nail polish, with a bitter taste, which will make you lose the habit
- To wash your hands, use cold water, or in any case try not to use water that is too hot
- Avoid cutting your nails, it is better to file them to prevent them from flaking
- Do not overdo it with quick-drying enamels, because they favor the weakening and consequent breakage of the nail.
