How to clean and sanitize the shower in a simple and natural way

If the bathroom requires a certain attention to hygiene and cleanliness, so much so that we should dedicate ourselves at least once a week to disinfect tiles and grout lines, the shower is no exception, on the contrary. Sometimes, for reasons of time and haste during cleaning, it is the one to which we dedicate less but needs constant maintenance. With a few simple steps you can always have a clean and sanitized shower cubicle, just know a few tricks, such as those in the video:

1. Remove the limescale

The number one enemy of the shower? The limestone. For this reason, the first thing to do to clean the shower is to dissolve the limescale encrusted on the walls and also in the shower surface. This step can be implemented with special detergents and elbow grease or with a natural remedy (certainly cheaper) excellent for sanitizing and fighting limescale residues: a homemade emulsion of white vinegar, baking soda and lemon. Once the handmade detergent has been sprayed on the surfaces, leave it to act for a few minutes and then rub carefully.
Do you want to prevent limescale from forming so often? We recommend that you dry the shower cubicle after each use to reduce the accumulation of water and the formation of limescale.

2. Unclog and clean the drain

The shower drain is very often clogged, not only soaps of all kinds, conditioners and detergents but also hair and hair. To unclog the drain it would be necessary to unscrew the drain cover and remove more superficial hair and tangles, and we recommend this type of more thorough cleaning at least once a month. Alternatively, every time you clean the shower, and even after this kind of more thorough cleaning, pour half a cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by half a glass of white vinegar, and then cover the drain for about ten minutes. Finally, rinse with boiling water, so as to eliminate dirt and residues that cannot be removed even with your hands.

3. Sanitize the shower head

Once the drain, shower tray and walls have been cleaned of residues and limescale, all that remains is to clean the shower head. Always wanting to avoid chemical detergents, once disassembled, immerse the shower head in hot water and vinegar for an hour, then rinse thoroughly. Thus the holes will be uncorked, and the handle will shine more than usual. Seeing is believing. You just have to start your cleaning, with a little sugar the pill goes down, and cleaning the house in an ecological and natural way will be quick and easy, look:
