The first lay premarital course

Unmarried couples, gay unions or spouses with a civil ceremony: whatever your situation, from today you can decide to follow the "Cominciamo Bene" lay prenuptial course, organized in Milan by the Buen Vivir association.

These are six events during which the main issues that affect the dynamics of the couple will be addressed, in the presence of various experts and professionals. "For instance - explains Valerio Celletti, psychologist and course coordinator, - in the second meeting, the lawyer Elisabetta Zecca will deal with explaining the rules governing the life of married and unmarried couples. While in another appointment, Dr. Rosester Rui, a psychotherapist with a long experience in counseling, will provide participants with information on public and private services that the couple can access in case of problems ".

But what prompted Buen Vivir to organize this course? Probably the fact that in northern Italy marriages before the mayor have surpassed religious ones, or even the exponential increase in de facto unions, both heterosexual and homosexual.

"We are open to everyone, even unmarried couples, with partners of different sex or of the same sex" - says Celletti. "We want to dispel the myth of awareness: it is not enough to know things, but you have to compare knowledge with reality". For this reason, after the first couple's interview with the coordinator and the six two-hour meetings, a subsequent moment of discussion is also planned.
